Created in 1954, the Hinesville Housing Authority has strived to improve the quality of life for the residents of Liberty County in Georgia. Hinesville Housing Authority is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, including one Resident Commissioner, and provides housing opportunities to low-income individuals, families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
Whether you are looking for subsidized housing, affordable housing, or market-rate housing, Hinesville Housing Authority can help. With a goal to provide quality housing, professional service, and self-sufficient residents, Hinesville Housing Authority operates 128 Public Housing units, 77 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units, and 26 Market Rate units.
Hinesville Housing Authority has established two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations: Hineshouse Property Management & Maintenance Services (HPMMS), formerly named Hineshouse Project, to provide more services to the community, and Hineshouse Development to build more affordable housing properties. Initiatives such as these are aimed at providing residents with amenities and services beyond housing that will develop the entire family. Through partnership with HPMMS, Hinesville Housing Authority is committed to providing valuable resident opportunities to allow for self-sufficiency and ensure residents thrive during their stay. Additional resident services are offered, such as career services, holiday events, light meal programs for students, and summer food programs.
Providing access to adequate housing and creating opportunities for residents to live, learn, and grow in a safe, nurturing environment, Hinesville Housing Authority provides residents with amenities more than housing that will develop the entire family.
